In a shocking move, London Warriors head coach Tony Allen has announced he will step down from his position as “dank meme lord” at UK Gridiron Memes with immediate effect.
“It’s not a move I’m happy to make” Allen told Daily Britball. “But it’s one I have to take.”
Speaking from the control room of his death star, the two time BAFCA coach of the year said he shed a tear when he told his colleagues at UK Gridiron Memes he would be leaving.
“Yep. I came up with all the good ones. The ones with hella likes, they were all me.” Allen said. “But now it’s time to take this London Warriors lark seriously.”
The Britball community has reacted angrily to the news that the NFL have organised an event without the knowledge of Wayne Hill or more worryingly, Tony Allen.
In an unprecedented move, the Jacksonville Jaguars have announced a 1 day positional skills camp in February to be held on the campus of Nottingham Trent University.
Jaguars GM David Caldwell told us “We’re delighted to be coming to the UK again in 2017. I was astonished to find out there were more than 2 teams in the UK. Tony and Wayne had consistently told us there were only two. This time, we’re actually announcing the event in advance and positively welcome applications from non-Warriors and 33 year old post-post-post graduate Lions.”
Hill declined to comment, but his PR department told us “We are devastated that the NFL have found out about other teams. This web of deceit took five years of hard work. We’re disappointed the truth has materialised.”
We managed to reach Allen for a comment, but we could only make out deep, rasping breaths through his Darth Vader mask.
